My Nephew Wants an Older Woman

I just got off of the phone with my nephew who is a very handsome and a young 20.  Every single time he calls me one of the first things he says is "Auntie do you have a woman for me?" I laugh hysterically and continue to tell him he can't even buy alcohol legally so NOOOO.  He says he doesn't need to, he can do other things.  I laugh even harder and tell him he isn't messing with an 18 year old he would get his feelings hurt.  ;-)

"Oh, c'mon Auntie, I'm tired of these young girls and their games and dumb conversations.  Plus, I know all of your friends are fine and not silly. I want a WOMAN!  So c'mon Auntie...hook me up!"

Tami is now ROTFL.

I finally told him sure, I would try to find him a woman.  So...here is my attempt...tee hee.  Does anyone want a 20 year old Army boy oops MAN (as he calls it)?  LOL  I'm just being a good Auntie.

It's Friday!

Many hours late I am with nothing to say, because I'm working away!  Hey, I made a rhyme!

Man, that's a small picture...note to self: don't post so late so you can find better, larger pictures!

Have a great weekend and let the fun and games resume bright and early Monday morning.  Stay out of trouble or for Anonymous (you know who you are) have fun while getting into some. We are 40 now, so who the hell do we have to answer to anyway!  ;-)

We Should Be Having Sex

A recent article in The Guardian -The Joy of Confidence, shows women in their 40s are having the best sex of their lives.  Yeah, Baby!  I have to hurry up and find a man, boy toy husband so I can really enjoy my 40s.  I don’t want all of this hotness to go to waste.

Dating sidebar:  a few weeks ago I was on a date and told an extremely crude man I don't intend to be intimate unless we are in an exclusive relationship since my goal is marriage.  He told me I'm almost 40, I only have 10 good years left, I need to be F$%^*n' someone!  WHATTTTTTT?  Sighhhhh.... yeah that date was a wrap.  But, you know in my date glory, he called again and tried to take me out and wondered what was wrong?  Did I not have a good time?  Uhh...NOOOOOOO!

Okay back to the post:

If you are under 40 and not having great sex you have something to look forward to.  If you are over 40 and not having great sex one reason the article points out is that you simply may not be interested in your partner any longer.  Ooooo, that’s keeping it real, but maybe you can get that spark back to get to great sex again.  Maybe you just need to loosen up a little, gain a little more confidence, learn yourself a little more (another topic for another day) or say to hell with convention (this is left to you for your interpretation).  Whatever it is, this is your time.

So, go have a little or a lot of sex...just have it.  It’s okay, the survey says so.

Are you having better sex in your 40s than you did at any other point in your life?

Flirting With Forty

I have to tell you,  I am the stereotypical woman when it comes to TV– I adore the Lifetime channel. It never let’s me down. On any given day I can get my dose of man hating, family loving, super woman, crazy woman, baby mama drama, laughter, tears and more. And this past weekend they upped the ante by showing 40 year olds have it going on.

Flirting with Forty is this decade’s How Stella Got Her Groove Back.  Starring Heather Locklear and Robert Buckley (you know the boy toy from Lipstick Jungle), this was a cute movie indeed. It was more than about finding love again; it was about finding yourself, which I can totally appreciate.  I was one of those women who was not sure about the younger man and older woman thing, mainly because society said it wasn’t the norm. I was used to the older man and the younger woman but thank goodness for changing times.  BTW...thank goodness for hair dye, green tea, sunscreen, Spanx, Le Mystere bras, teeth whitening, Pilates, and yes ladies even Botox (I haven’t done it but…if needed...I’m just saying).  Finally, thank goodness for it now being acceptable for women to date whatever age they want AND YES, I’ve even embraced it but that’s another story for another day. ☺

So, ladies if you haven’t seen Flirting With Forty yet try to catch it (tonight or tomorrow), then see if you can catch a little excitement in your life. Maybe it’s in a younger man, a career change, a vacation, a new hobby or that hot little dress you never thought you would wear, but just don’t sit there let’s embrace life.  In the movie Heather became too comfortable with her sweatshirts and threw them away in favor of bikinis (ok, I know we all can’t wear bikinis but it’s symbolism).  For me I’ve become too comfortable with sitting in my house not socializing and being in my own world.  I’m giving it up for remembering that I was a social person and for doing more social things.  I’ll keep you posted on how this goes, but they say the first step is to admit you have a problem.  I have a problem!  Now, your turn.

What have you become too comfortable with? Throw it away in favor of something else.
