My Rocking 40 List

It’s almost the end of 2008 (thank goodness) and 6 months to the big 4-0! I never thought I would be 40…damn time for moving on!

Since the 30’s are a period I would like to think of as hard knocks, I’m going to call the 40’s as my period of life rocks. To begin rocking, I have put together a list of things (look to the right and down) I plan on accomplishing during my 40th year.  I know most people try to accomplish this stuff by their 40th, but since I’m halfway there and adding in the economy, I just got an extra year (until my 41st birthday).  My blog, my rules.

I’ll check in from time to time to let you know of my progress.  If you have any advice or suggestions, feel free to drop me a line.  In the meantime…join in, create your own list and let me know.  I’ll link to you (if you are crazy enough to have a blog) and stalk your progress.

This is our time!  Don’t sit back and watch life happen.  Do all of those things you have always been dreaming of doing.  Life is way too short and I’m tired of writing bah humbug posts anyway!

  1. Tami, these are great. I'd like to do something similar except that I just recently didn't finish my novel on NaNoWriMo and don't want to chronicle another "failure."

Maybe I'll do one at a time.

  2. Moretta-

Ahhh...come on! So you didn't finish. I don't know if I'm going to do them all but I'm going to try. That is going to be the fun of it. Just put on your list finish novel! I'm giving my self 18 months so give yourself a 12 or 18 months. Come on! Make a list...I love the list because it forced me to think about all of the cool stuff I have wanted to do and made me say if not now then when?

  3. What a great list - if you achieve just a portion of these things, you'll have had a wonderful 40th year.

  4. You know I made a list of things I want to do when I turn 30. For me, the hard knock decade was 20s. I'm updating my list and laying the foundations to do EVERYTHING I wrote down. Your list is awesome.

  9. I'm a bit unclear on the 'take nude pictures' bit. Is it have pictures taken of you.. or you take pictures of nekkid men?
