Are my Toes Aging?

No seriously, I'm having some toe issues and I need help.  One toe on my left foot and 2 on my right (my toe knuckles if there is a such thing), the skin is getting/has gotten hard and dark.  Hyperpigmentation on my toes?  I mean WTFIGOH?  Any suggestions for helping my toes and feet?  I would hate to pay money to go back to my expensive azz dermatologist for my toes but I will.

So...what do I do?  What do I do about my toes peeps?  I know you are laughing but answer my question between giggles!

  1. Get a more pedicures, foot massages, and wear open shoes more often.

  2. Well Nancy...I do ALL of those things except foot massages. I'm going to start giving myself an oil foot massage each night.

  3. LOL to WTFIGOH. Never seen that before. Ok, so to get rid of the hyperpigmentation, you need a lightening agent like Neo Strata's HQ gel (About $28). The darker shade is likely due to the keratinization and increased melanin because of it. So also work to thin down the skin there with a very gentle buffer and/or exfoliating cream/gel just for the tootsies. :) Hope that helps.

  4. Tami,

You are too funny! You must have really pretty if you are noticing your toes changing. I have the biggest ugliest feet in the world so would never notice. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you though.

  5. Tami, my feet are getting fugly too. I have the roughest dark patch right on the front of my ankle bone. I am using Retin A to see what happens. My hands don't look so hot anymore either. DANG!
